Magic of Venice

Magic of Venice

Story from the Poetic Prose series.

“Lost under his spell, enticed by his game”

A new Micro Fiction upload! To read, please follow the link below (:

Magic of Venice

This new story was written for Sweek’s monthly Micro Fiction competition, with this month’s challenge the word “game”. Mine turned into a playful game of sensual attraction, on the festival-wrapped streets of Venice. If you enjoyed it, I’d be delighted if you could also give it a follow and like over at Sweek itself!

One Last Thing

Before I wrap up, I’d like to share that the Poetic Prose page has been fully updated this week, with aside from this new story, a range of new Micro Fiction’s that you can already read at your leisure, or you can await them as weekly shares here on my blog in the weeks to come (:

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

The Wishmaker

The Wishmaker

Story from the Poetic Prose series.

The Wishmaker

“Believe in yourself and the magic will follow”

A poetic short story inviting you the Lantern Festival and discover if the legend is true – the legend of the Wishmaker.

Nobody knows where the legend comes from, how it started or by whom, but for as long as anybody can remember it’s the one night on which people came together to entrust wishes to the wide open skies, and children try to find the man with his straw hat sitting on a flat rooftop, a sky-lantern in his hands, who could make their deepest wish come true…

New: Poetic Prose

New: Poetic Prose

Hello everyone,

Today I’ve added a new page to the website: Poetic Prose. Here I’ll share – surprise, surprise 🙂 – pieces of prose in the shapes of micro fiction and short stories, which are inspired by the many facets of life, and often touched with a hint of fantasy.

To get a taste of what I’d be sharing, I invite you to read both:

Eight Days of Love
Shipwrecked

I’ve always enjoyed writing short prose, trying to convey (alike to my Micro Poetry and Haiku series) an emotive tale in a small amount of words. Recently, my discovery of the contest #Sweekstars over at Sweek, prompted me to rediscover my love for this medium and I’ve presently entered two of my pieces into the competition. If you are a Sweek member, and liked reading my work, I’d be thrilled if you’d head over there and give them a like and follow! (:

Thanks, as always, for taking the time to read and visiting my site ❤

Love, Kiyo
